Prom was yesterday. Mike took me to Alioli's and then to prom where we met up with some of his friends. He told me he had a surprise for me and then I notice a live band was going to be playing some because there was also a DJ. I wondered who it was, but it didn't bug me too much. Mike looked so cute in his tux. He had a deep dark blue vest and a bolo tie. My dress was a midnight blue and my makeup looked like a movie stars! I got my friend's mom to do it. They used to live in Southern California and she learned all the tricks of the trade while in Cali. Mike picked me up a little bit early and brought me a dozen white roses PLUS the white rose corsage. I got him a white rose boutinere (however you spell it) and Mom took ten hundred pictures, or maybe just a roll of film, and then we went to eat. I wore my hair half way up because it was the only simple and elegant style I knew how to do since my dress was a simple gown. I wore white gloves too :D I had so much fun as we went. I didn't dance a lot to the fast music and neither did Mike. We didn't solely dance together, though the majority of the time we did. He danced with some of the girls that came alone and this Senior who has Down's Syndrome. I love him so much. And THEN he said "Exchuse me, I need to go help Paul out." The "band" was his band! And they sounded so good. Both Paul and Mike sang while Paul played guitar and Mike bass. Wil played keyboard while Kyle played drums. I stood utterly amazed!
After prom, he took me by my house so I could check in and change for after prom. Mom asked me how it was. I looked so happy and I asked when my curfew was. "Three at the latest" she said. Ok, so three's not so bad! It was only midnight. But when three came around, it felt like it was only one. I had so much fun playing laser take and "halo".
But the best part was when Mike took me home, he gave me a silver bracelet that said "Always and Forever" and he told me that it didn't mean that we'd always go out or that I'd forever be his, but that I would be God's child, always and forever. You can't tell me that wasn't the most romantic thing that could ever happen to me!
Blissfully,
