Paul bid me farewell the other day. He's gone to college where he'll start on Tuesday. It feels so weird not having him here.
He told me what had been bugging him too. His mom called his cell and told him his cousin had been in a wreck. He's really close with this cousin. They practically grew up together. The doctors weren't sure if she'd live, and she was pregnant, and lost the baby. Paul deals with it differently than I would've. I told him that he could have told me so I could pray for them. He told me, "Kenni, sometimes I can't place my thoughts into words, so I don't try. I feel so lost, Kenni." He gave me a hug, and I hugged him back. He needs the comfort.
This next week is going to help him. He needs the distractions.
