It feels so weird not having Paul around. I think it's doing wonders for our relationship being apart like this, but still, I almost don't like it.
He came into town today since it's the annual music fest. The whole town seems to go to watch the local bands perform at the square. I watched my friend's band perform and they were good. It's not totally a music festival. Local people and businesses have booths with all this stuff, and food galore, but the main attraction is the music. Paul and I sat by the base of this huge live oak watching the bands, then we got some funnel cakes. I shouldn't have worn my black "Love and War" shirt, or my black pants because the powdered sugar went every where! Paul looked so cute wearing his dark clothes. We walked around for a while and then we went to the park. No one was there since they were all at the square. We sat and talked about anything and everything, pretending no one else ever lived, and we watched the sunset. I love the way his arms feel around me. I'm so safe and secure. My parents gave me a nine o'clock curfew because I've not gotten much sleep this week, so he brought me home five minutes ago, but before he did, after the sunset, we went back to the square for the main event, the battle of the bands where the awards were handed out. I forgot to mention that Paul and I sang a couple of songs with Paul's punk rock band (Hence the dark clothing). We received the "Cutest Punk Couple" award. I think they made that up this year, and I think they give out awards to everyone. "Pyro, you got me on fire. Pyro, why is this your desire. All fire does is burn and destroy. Pyro, Why the fire?" We sang that today. It was written for one of our friends who is a pyromaniac and has the nickname Pyro, so the song is called Pyro.
After the awards (which ended at 8:30-ish), Paul gave me the sweetest kiss ever. He's leaving early in the morning to go back to the college because he's leading worship at one of the churches. It's back to being lonely.
